Mission Statement
The mission of the Westside Resource Conservation District (Westside RCD) is to conserve the soil, water, air quality, energy, and wildlife of the farms and livestock ranches in the District.

The Westside RCD is a subdivision of the California Department of Conservation, is overseen by the County of Fresno, and partially funded by the Westlands Water District. It is a non-profit organization made up of landowners, farmers and ranchers whose land is in western Fresno and Kings Counties in Central California. Six hundred thousand acres in the district are farm land, and four hundred thousand acres are livestock range. Approximately 85% of the land is privately owned, the remainder being owned primarily by the Federal Bureau of Land Management.

The three programs the Westside RCD is currently implementing are watershed, drainage, and habitat management, in addition to which it is promoting a Clean Energy Project.
